NHS FPX 5004 Assessment 2: Leadership and Group Collaboration

Lakeland Medical Clinic
Dear Lynette,
I wanted to start by expressing my gratitude for your time and the message that followed our brief conversations. I want to thank you for believing in me enough to give me this leadership opportunity. The lack of diversity among our team may contribute to the patients’ declining health, which I found shocking and underscored the need for better group collaboration. As stressed in NHS FPX 5004 Assessment 2, I am saddened to learn that certain members of our community do not want to communicate with us because they feel insulted or that our staff does not comprehend or represent their culture. Since we will be working with a lot of Haitian clients, we need to come up with solutions that will help our team understand their culture and way of life and make sure they apply those lessons in their everyday lives. The establishment of this group will be extremely beneficial to our eventual goal of diversifying our institution. Healthcare that is culturally competent is supported by behaviors, perspectives, and laws that encourage positive interactions across cultures.
According to NHS FPX 5004 Assessment 2, a successful project manager must possess a wide range of good attributes. These include being able to communicate effectively, listening intently, and having a general understanding of the course we must follow to achieve shared goals. In order to improve patient care, the system of collaboration for patient care should incorporate the capacity for effective communication, teamwork, and sharing of knowledge and skills among all members of the healthcare team (Brach et al., 2019). We have a
Spanish-speaking community, despite the fact that I worked as a department nurse and was among a diverse workforce. The fact that not everyone could comprehend one another led to a number of cultural issues, underscoring the significance of group decision-making.
Additionally, in NHS FPX 5004 Assessment 2, we had a manager in town who provided us with a clearly legible online database so we could educate ourselves on the information we were supposed to know. The leadership abilities of Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, who employed transformational leadership to make his company a global powerhouse, had a significant impact on him. The transformational leadership inspires his employees in ways that go beyond pay and benefits. As shown by collaborative leadership, this strategy, which clarifies the meaning and purpose of the company’s objectives, can increase a team’s internal drive. I suppose that implementing change in this facility might be accomplished quite well with this type of leadership and a democratic decision-making process. I never thought that, as stressed in NHS FPX 5004 Assessment 2, when a group of so many diverse people, from various backgrounds, come together to brainstorm, the outcomes are typically favorable. This kind of cooperation improves openness and boosts trust and genuine faith in the problem-solving strategy. Two of my strongest leadership qualities, which clearly demonstrate leadership and collaboration, are keeping the lines of communication open and ensuring that everyone is in agreement. As the group leader, I want to make sure that I can start the conversation. I will also ensure that the recommendations are focused on the hospital’s overall direction, as stressed in NHS FPX 5004 Assessment 2. I will encourage and insist that the other team members help to resolve this issue. I would like to be able to set up schedules and get an idea of what we are expected to do when there are four or five people. We must establish reasonable project
schedules and make sure the final suggestion will be acceptable to the organization (Manspeaker et al., 2019).
Since this problem has a wide-ranging impact on the organization, the team will likely meet once a week, either physically or remotely. In an effort to solve this issue through division, I would also try to set modest personal goals for each person. Our group should be as diverse as possible. I aim to invite more people from different cultural backgrounds to collaborate with us in the future. Additionally, I would like to see more diversity training provided to all staff members both annually and upon onboarding to ensure that we are utilizing all of the abilities we have to serve the patients. To strengthen our position as a regional hospital and regain the trust of our community, I want to engage with community members in a way that demonstrates leadership collaborative.
We can share ideas in a Google Drive during team meetings, which are accessible to all top management, to track our progress in NHS FPX 5004 Assessment 2. We should also consider putting in place a system for polling people of Haitian heritage after their hospital stay to monitor and collect data on the effectiveness of our practice improvements. In addition to the team’s original ideas and brainstorming, I believe that working together will help us resolve this issue and transform the hospital into one that is more diverse. This provides all patients with the same complete care, exhibiting collaboration in leadership.
